Lil Nas X's vision for the 7 EP cover art was reportedly very specific and intended to reveal he was gay way before June 30 when he announced it on Twitter. TMZ reports designer Lorenzo Sozzi, who crafted the cover with the 20-year-old Atlanta native, said he wanted the art to show him 'leaving a dystopian world for a futuristic world.'
He insisted one of the buildings included the rainbow colors, which he thought provided enough of a clue. The EP dropped on June 15, but he didn't make his big reveal until roughly two weeks later. He tweeted he 'deadass' thought he 'made it obvious' with the cover.
